The Bassetlaw Hospital League of Friends

Enhancing the treatment and comfort of patients

The Bassetlaw Hospital League of Friends was formed in 1954. It has around 60 members, who support and fundraise for Bassetlaw Hospital and the local community. Its aim is to enhance the treatment and comforts of patients at the hospital, to provide items that would not otherwise be available, and to keep abreast of the latest advance in medical care. In addition, the aim is to support the local community in all aspects of healthcare. The League holds various events throughout the year; coffee mornings, raffles, concerts, and an annual Summer Fayre. These all help to raise funds, which enable the League of Friends to purchase much-needed comforts for patients. The League aims to continue until it, like Attend, reached its 60th anniversary in 2009. This year (2009), the Summer Fayre raised over £1000 and has helped the League of Friends to commit over £5000 for the provision of special seats, transfer wheelchairs, and other equipment, including an aquarium for the psychiatric department.

Attend golf day

After the success of last years inaugural charity golf day for Attend, we are offering another great opportunity to play golf at a beautiful centrally located course, nestled between picturesque locks, with panoramic views of the rolling countryside towards the River Trent.
The day provides an enjoyable occasion for networking, corporate entertaining, team building or simply a time to catch up with friends. Prompt bookings and pledges of support would be greatly appreciated.
