Rehabilitation through Music and Arts

Islington Music Forum

Islington Music Forum provides non-clinical music therapy for people whose lives are affected by mental health issues.
Our approach is inclusive, non-judgmental and service-user led. Over the years we have nurtured a unique community of specialist musicians to provide a caring and supportive service which encourages participation regardless of individuals' musical experience. From DJing to songwriting, musical poetry to dance and theatre, our workshops have celebrated the power of music to express and empower people dealing with profound challenges, often on a daily basis.
We work in partnership with health professionals and statutory and voluntary agencies and take referrals from Occupational Therapists, Psychiatrists,GPs, Social Workers, ward staff and many others. At the outsetof engagement we assess and monitor participants' wellness and readiness to engage on what can be a life-changing experience. We continually explore ways of using music to aid recovery from mental illness and are committed to sharing best practice with our peers, sector specialists and funders to improve access to meaningful opportunities for social music therapy.

Attend golf day

After the success of last years inaugural charity golf day for Attend, we are offering another great opportunity to play golf at a beautiful centrally located course, nestled between picturesque locks, with panoramic views of the rolling countryside towards the River Trent.
The day provides an enjoyable occasion for networking, corporate entertaining, team building or simply a time to catch up with friends. Prompt bookings and pledges of support would be greatly appreciated.
