Helping to build a healthier community
Feelgoods is a group of volunteer committee members who started in Spring 2008 when the local GP surgery, High Hesket, Cumbria, decided to promte the idea of feeling good to the local community, to look for funding and find ways of improving health and wellbeing in a rural area. With the help of grants from Lottery For All, Neighbourhood Forum and Cumbria Community Fund the group set about providing a holistic approach to good health.
At the moment, the group is offering "Get Active" fitness classes, NIA dancing, line dancing and swimming sessions. In addition the group supports compilmentary therapist who provide subsidized treatments like homeopathy, dietary advice, herbal medicines, NLP, head massage, chiropractics, chiropody, Tao, reflexology, Reiki, Shiatsu.
