At Time for Health’s national debate on Wednesday 5 June, the audience and panel concluded that volunteers play a vital role in the NHS but cannot be a replacement of professional health care staff.

Making a difference for Health
A ground-breaking initiative was signed today (7th June) between the largest volunteering organisations in health to provide a representative voice for volunteering in the NHS. It paves the way for closer working between over 200,000 volunteers in over 1,000 health and social care locations across the UK.
