Tailored to Volunteer Management, this CMI accredited programme is for those responsible for managing volunteering programmes within their organisation.

Course aims
To enable volunteer programme managers to reflect on their current practices, and develop ways to enhance the experience of all stakeholders involved in the volunteering programme.
Content
The programme involves the following three units (all tailored to volunteer management)
- Principles of management and leadership in an organisational context
- Managing stakeholder relationships
- Principles of recruiting, selecting and retaining talent
The programme tends to take 12-15 months to complete.
How it is delivered
Accessible via distance learning and involves regular participation through 12 on-line webinars where learners can share experiences and discuss key issues.
Comprehensive 1-1 support is also provided by the course tutor via email and telephone contact.
How it is assessed
Each module is assessed by a 40-45 minute professional discussion. Each learner is supported in their preparation for this discussion, to help them to relate their own experiences to the underlying principles of the various topics.
