Palliative Care

A relatively modern form of care, palliative care concentrates on reducing the severity of a disease or slowing its progress rather than looking for a cure.

Palliative care aims to improve the quality of life of patients where there is no cure for an illness by trying to relieve pain and other symptoms. Its aim is to provide social, psychological and spiritual support and can be given in the home, hospice or hospital.
Palliative care can be received:

  • In the home
