Personal Care Budgets

Personal care budgets allow users of social care to take control of the budget to pay for their own social care services.

Personal care budgets aim to give people the choice and responsibility for their own services. Personal budgets can be paid out to the recipient of care as a direct payment. Alternatively, users can allow councils to administer the budgets solely on their behalf or there can be a combination of both a direct payment and allowing councils to manage personal care.
