ILM accredited volunteer management programmes

Attend Academy have developed a range of programmes recognised by the Institute of Leadership and Management

The Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) was formed in November 2001 through the merger of the Institute of Supervisory Management (ISM) and NEBS Management. It is an organisation within the City & Guilds Group but has independent awarding body status.

The ILM approves a network of centres worldwide to deliver its qualifications and Attend are an approved ILM centre.

ILM qualifications are UK’s National Qualifications Framework (NQF), and practically based, designed to complement the individual’s role at work. All ILM qualifications have been accredited by the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA).

Attend are delivering a range of ILM volunteer management programmes. These are explained in the links below in more detail. The NVQs in the Management of Volunteers are accredited qualifications, and the remainder of the programmes are ILM approved ‘Development Programmes’.

Thos who complete an NVQ in the Management of Volunteers can apply for ILM membership, with the relevant post-nominals, at Associate Member (AMInstLM), Member (MInstLM), or Fellow (FInstLM), dependent on the level of qualification and their vocational experience.

Those who complete an ILM development programme receive an ILM certificate and one year’s free membership of the ILM.
