In partnership with Stackhouse Poland, we offer a comprehensive insurance scheme for every member group.

As a member of Attend, your group is enrolled in the standard benefits cover for employer's liability, public & product liability, trustees indemnity and personal accident cover. Additional benefits

One of the principal benefits of the programme is access to the new additional benefits insurance package. This is a competitively priced 'all risk' insurance cover policy. It's specifically designed to meet the needs of members who have additional items such as stock, money, computers, cash registers, fund raising equipment etc. that need to be insured. For an annual payment of £167*, your group will have automatic access to £100,000 of cover with Zurich.

This cover includes:

Contents and building insurance including loss or damage from fire, lightning, earthquake, explosion, aircraft, smoke, riot or civil commotion, strikes, labour or political disturbances, malicious persons or vandals, theft, storm tempest or flood or escape of water, escape of oil, frost, impact, falling aerials, falling trees, loss of rent, subsidence, ground heave and landslip, accidental damage.

Automatic covers:

  • Rebuilding fees and debris removal costs
  • damage to cables and underground services
  • damage to grounds or premises caused by action of the fire service
  • property owners' liability
  • VAT on rebuilding and redevelopment
  • theft damage to buildings if you are responsible under the lease
  • all fixed internal glass and fixed glass in the buildings including lettering painting or other ornamentation or intruder alarm sanitary fittings
  • damages to scales, cash registers and franking machines
  • the cost of changing locks following theft of your keys
  • contents and stock left in the open
  • contents (other than employee's personal effects) temporarily removed from the open
  • tenants liability
  • deterioration of frozen or refrigerated stock and stock and contents while in transit.

Business interruption - automatic covers

  • Outbreak of disease
  • Poisoning by food and drink
  • Prevention of access
  • Loss of attraction within 1km radius
  • Failure of utilities lasting more than 30 minutes
  • Loss of or damage at your suppliers or customers premises in the UK.

Maximum sum insured (inner limit) - £25,000.

Money cover

Cover for the loss of money belonging to Attend members or for which they have a due of care. Sum insured (inner limits):

  • On member premises during hours - £10,000
  • After business hours in a locked safe or strong room - £5,000
  • After working hours not locked in a safe or storeroom - £500
  • In transit (minimum two responsible persons for sums above £3,000) - £10,000
  • In a bank safe at night - £10,000
  • In any private residence not in a locked safe or strong room - £300.

Attend and Together4Health have joined forces to help improve the co-ordination, administration and representation of the issues in parliament with a single All-Party Parliamentary Group for Long Term Conditions.

Training in Self-Advocacy skills for Carers. Two day workshop

This course aims to equip participants with an understanding of Self Advocacy and related issues. Throughout the training, participants will be presented with and given the opportunity to explore and discuss the issues around advocacy. They will also be encouraged throughout the programme, to identify and talk about their own feelings around advocacy issues. Participants will acquire skills required how to contact statutory services and present their issues in writing, over the telephone and by appointment. Certificate of Attendance will be issued.

Attend South East: Building for the Future

Members are invited to join us for a day specifically designed to ensure everyone is up to date and “Building for the Future”
Please come along to the Countess Mountbatten Hospice on Wednesday 8th September at 10.00 am. David Wood, Chief Executive, and Steve Moreton, Attend Academy, will be leading discussions and workshops. There will be the opportunity to review the latest requirements for volunteers within the NHS, governance and other key areas for member groups as well as practical ideas for new services and projects.

Making it personal.

To mark World Alzheimer's Day, Bradford District Council in collaboration with Bradford Dementia Group (University of Bradford) and Attend - a membership - based organisation supporting volunteering in health and social care, are hosting a showcase event.
The day promises to be engaging and informative and will showcase the work and views of those personally affected by the condition and those who support them, working in health and social care sectors. The day is for anybody who works or volunteers in the Bradford and Leeds District areas.
