Side by Side exhibition | Southbank Centre

International exhibition showcasing learning disability, art and collaboration, presented in partnership with Southbank Centre. Directed by Alice Fox, this is the first international exhibition in the UK to feature paintings, drawings, sculptures, films, animation, music, installation and performance which have been created by 150 artists with learning disabilities from 30 innovative arts organisations from around the world.

Action Space studio artists taking part in this exhibition: Kathy Sweet, Tony Allen, Thomas Owen, Linda Bell, Nigel Kingsbury, Nnena Kalu, David Byrne and Lasmin Salmon.

Side by Side symposium

Friday 22 March 2013, 11am - 3pm Led by artists from organisations working in the learning disability arts field, this day of participatory creative workshops is aimed at those with learning disabilities and their non-disabled colleagues. Workshops are facilitated by artists from organisations including Rocket Artists, Intoart, Stay up Late, Heart n Soul, Corali, Project Volume, Action Space, Cash Aspeek and Stop Gap Dance.

The Art of Access | National Portrait Gallery

The Art of Access seminar will explore approaches and best practice of museums and galleries in developing accessible, creative arts programmes to engage audiences with additional support needs.

Dreamcatcher. Moment in Time
New artists added | Exhibition extended until May 2013

A phantasmagoric world of images, ideas, emotions and sensations spun by ten artists from Action Space’s Camden and South London studios: Linda Bell, Thompson Hall, Abu Hasnat, Nnena Kalu, Ali Kamalati, Patrick Moses, Mary Ogunleye, Andrew Omading,Thomas Owen and Jade Bhundia.

Dreamcatcher. Moment in Time is part of Shape In The City – Shape‘s newest and most ambitious Pop Up Gallery in Gracechurch Street in the City of London with over 80 artworks on display by more than 30 artists.

Outside In: On Tour

Pallant House Gallery presents Outside In: On Tour, a showcase of twenty artists facing barriers to the art world selected through an open national competition.

This tour features the six Award Winner’s works from the Outside In: National exhibition: Kate Bradbury, Manuel Bonifacio, Matthew Sergison-Main, Michelle Roberts, Nigel Kingsbury and Phil Baird.

The four venues that the tour will be exhibited at are:
The Museum of East Anglian Life in Stowmarket from 29th March – 31st May 2013
Royal Brompton Hospital in London from 6th June – 15th August 2013
Salisbury Art Centre from 22nd August – 29th September 2013
The Public in West Bromwich from 6th October – 3rd January 2014
