Inca Honnor, the current Spalding Flower Queen, was the guest of honour at this annual event, held at the Johnson Community Hospital, which raised a total of £700, and was also supported by local MP John Hayes and Attend Regional Chair, Simon Needham. During the last year the League has donated funds to purchase 2 items of equipment for the Ophthalmology Clinic; a G-4 high magnitude mirror - enabling doctors to see into the back of the eye - cost £308.75 and a special retinscope for examining children's eyes - cost £452.39. Most recently, the Johnson Community Hospital has requested funds to help towards providing piped music in one of the waiting rooms which could cost in the region of £700. "This will be our next project" , said Angela Newton, League of Friends Chairman.
