As of 1st October 2009, the Companies Act 2006 was brought fully into legislation. Here are some of the changes.

AGMs

It is not a requirement that companies hold Annual General Meetings unless you opt to do so. However, if your Articles require you to hold an AGM, then you must do so and for those charities whose directors are different from the members, it is advisable to have an AGM.
