Carer’s/family leave

A ‘carer’ is a person who has responsibility for looking after close relations, partners, close friends or children.

A caring situation is “illness of any of the above; breakdown of usual caring arrangements; making arrangements for longer term coping with a care problem including the resettlement of those previously in psychiatric care, or with physical disabilities”.
