Forever Active Scheme

Since launching in 2006 in Cambridge City, the Forever Active Scheme has been very successful and has gained much attention from the surrounding community. Duly, the scheme expanded to South Cambridgeshire in September 2011.
Due to the success of the Forever Active Scheme and its consistent membership base, they are gaining more members each year. As of August 2011, there were 332 active members. Currently, there are 16 mobility classes and 30 Active 50+ sessions being offered. New sessions being offered include racket ball, Egyptian dance, archery, cycling, and 50+ Zumba. Each class and exercise activity abides by national health guidelines and has proven to be an invaluable resource to the older adult members of the community.
With the money they receive through fundraising, the Forever Active Scheme is able to upgrade their website, database systems, and evaluation processes amongst many other things.
The Forever Active Scheme has been a member of Attend for the past 14 years and primarily uses Attend’s services for insurance purposes. They believe that insurance coverage is the biggest advantage to being a member of Attend.
